- Full-time
- Experience

About the role
We run on AWS and Google Cloud. Our media pipeline and storage are on AWS (S3, Lambda, MediaConvert and SNS), our Go services ship as containers through GitHub Actions to Google Cloud Run, and our data lives in PostgreSQL and Firebase. You'll help us run all of it well, with AWS as your main focus.
You'll own our infrastructure and how we ship, end to end. You'll work closely with our backend engineers and help shape how we build, release and run software as we grow.
What you'll do
- Own and improve our AWS infrastructure, including S3, Lambda, MediaConvert, SNS, DynamoDB, IAM and CloudWatch.
- Move our infrastructure from scripts to code (Terraform or AWS CDK), so every environment can be reviewed and rebuilt.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for our backend services, web apps and mobile releases.
- Containerise services with Docker and keep builds fast and images lean.
- Set up monitoring, logging and alerts, lead the response when something breaks and make sure it doesn't happen twice.
- Keep us secure with least-privilege IAM, well-managed secrets, backups and timely patching.
- Track cloud spend and find ways to reduce it.
- Help engineers across the team adopt good infrastructure, security and release practices.
What you'll bring
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure, running production workloads on AWS.
- Strong knowledge of core AWS services: IAM, VPC networking, S3, EC2, Lambda and CloudWatch.
- Infrastructure as code with Terraform, AWS CDK or CloudFormation.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) and running containerised services with Docker.
- Strong Linux skills and scripting in Bash or Python.
- A solid grasp of networking: DNS, HTTP and TLS, load balancing and VPC design.
- A careful, methodical approach: you test changes before you make them, write down what you did and own what you ship.
Nice to have
- An AWS certification, such as Solutions Architect – Associate or SysOps Administrator – Associate.
- Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Artifact Registry) or Kubernetes.
- Go services, gRPC or PostgreSQL.
- Observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana or Prometheus.
