About the role
Our backend keeps bookings, partner operations, payments, notifications and internal tools moving. You will work on Go services, PostgreSQL, gRPC APIs and the systems that connect our apps to partner venues.
This is a role for someone who likes owning production code, understands that small product details need strong systems underneath and wants to build with a close mobile and operations team.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain Go services for booking, partner operations, payments, media and user workflows.
- Design clear APIs for mobile apps, partner tools and internal systems.
- Model data in PostgreSQL and Firebase, write migrations and keep data reliable as the product changes.
- Improve performance, observability and error handling in production services.
- Work with mobile, DevOps and operations teammates to ship features from idea to release.
- Write tests, review code and document decisions that future teammates will rely on.
What you'll bring
- 1-3 years of backend engineering experience with Go, Java, Kotlin, Node.js or a similar production language.
- Comfort designing APIs and working with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL.
- Good understanding of HTTP, authentication, background jobs and basic cloud deployment patterns.
- Experience using Git, writing tests and debugging production issues methodically.
- Clear communication and a bias for simple, maintainable systems.
Nice to have
- Go, gRPC, protocol buffers or Cloud Run.
- Payments, booking systems, marketplaces or location-heavy products.
- Firebase, PostgreSQL performance tuning or event-driven systems.
